About The Peninsula

It is strongly believed that the PK Peninsula is the most coveted area of (mostly) ungoverned land at PK. A few smaller HOA/POA communities are scattered throughout the peninsula, which gives the majority of property owners the freedom to develop how they want, in whatever style they want, as long as it adheres to the minor guidelines of the Brazos River Authority (BRA).

Gently sloping sandy beaches or elevated views with deep water docks line the shores of the North, South, and West edges of the land mass. With multiple public boat ramps up and down the peninsula, getting in and out is a breeze.

The Brazos River Authority manages the center of the peninsula and maintains multiple hiking and biking trails in the area. The tallest peak at PK, Johnson Peak, is also located here.

One truly can’t understand the diversity of PK without driving some of the roads on the PK Peninsula. Here you will see older “fishing cabins”, that have “been in the family” for generations, sitting right next to multi-million dollar estates. Drive down Trail Ridge Road, or Upper Berma if you want to understand the creativity and ingenuity that went into developing this area. Or stroll down Frontier Unit Road and Colonels Row to see some of the high-end estates. But really, all you need is a trip down Park Road 36 to Sandy Beach and you’ll get a good understanding.
